- Get your assigned text book and begin looking over section 1.1 (Notice the pictures, bold words, colored text, captions, etc. on pages 4-11)
- On your own sheet of paper predict what you think this section in chapter 1 will be about.

Look at the Performance Indicators (bullet items) on page 5. These are the concepts that you will learn in chapter 1 that could be used to solve a problem in a real world situation (that we will look at later.)For now, write these on your paper and watch for them as we go through chapter 1.
